If ever there was a more perfect setting for a barn than in the middle of a corn field, I have not seen it.. I’m pretty sure I’ve never met a barn I didn’t like, but this one, of course, is my new favorite.. Are you a secret barn addict too?
It’s in pretty much the same state as what I showed you last time.You see, I’ve been trying to get some progress happening.
And there has been some..I did manage to put up that little bit of chair rail there all on my own.Actually, no, it’s not really up.
It’s mostly just cut to the exact size so it wedges in between the other two pieces of vertical molding.. All the other pieces that need to go up involve me learning how to use new power tools.I have no doubt that I can.
The problem is that to figure all that out and then get working and get some installation going on would take pretty much a whole day.
And then I think I’d feel guilty for all of the other things I’d miss getting done during that time.. Yup, I over-think things..This little trick today comes to you courtesy of Chris, who decided he was going to stain the deck after we finished re-building it.
I honestly didn’t even think it was worth staining, because I’ve always thought of deck staining as a really really big job, and I honestly just didn’t think it was worth it.Chris insisted he knew the fastest way to stain a deck and would just “throw a coat of stain on there” and be done with it..
